February In Review

$$ spent at restaurants in February 2013: $35.31

Can you believe that??? Admittedly we do spend more on groceries now, but that's definitely still a savings! The money spent comes from 3 team meals Mr. M had.

I've added trackers to the side of the blog to show how much weight we've lost, but I'll continue to put it in our monthly review posts too in case you're reading this in a blog reader and can't see the side of the blog.

I'm so happy with how well we're doing! I really thought this was going to be a lot more difficult. Don't get me wrong. I do have days when I'm thinking, ugh if we could just go through a drive-through for lunch (or dinner) things could be a lot easier. But on those days I just take snacks with us or I make a quick meal for dinner, or we have sandwiches or leftovers. This is making me hopeful that, in 2014 when we add restaurants back into our lives, we'll still be able to stick to a restaurant budget and not allow ourselves to give in to the convenience factor.

  1. This is great! My husband showed me your blog. I'm really excited to try homemade pizza! We've had a similar problem with eating out and just spending way too much money. We've cut down significantly the last few weeks but it's mostly because we're now on a diet. I'm really loving your blog. I'll share it on facebook :)
